Loving Wife, Mother and Devoted Grandmother
Evelyn Lynch Wells, 75, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Candler Hospital. She was born in Savannah, daughter of Charles and Mary Solomon Lynch. Mrs. Wells attended Savannah High School and was retired as a Paraprofessional at Hesse Elementary School. She was a loving wife, mother and devoted grandmother. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Doris, Charles and Hilton.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, Gerald P. Wells, Sr. of Savannah; children, Virginia Lee Bruner (Clyde) of Metter; Diane Marie Patrick (John) of Savannah; Gerald P. Wells, Jr. of Savannah; Edward Russell Wells (Debbie) of Savannah; Timothy Paul Wells (Rebecca) of Savannah; grandchildren, Christopher Bruner, Michael Joseph Pena, Stephen Matthew Pena, Joy Johnson Burnsed and Gerald P. Wells, III; fourteen great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 10, 2016 in the Hodgson Chapel of Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors.
Interment will follow in the Greenwich section of Bonaventure Cemetery.
Rest in peace my beloved cousin-sister. May all that you are and have been to your family and friends through the years bring comfort and precious memories in the difficult days ahead. Love you and miss you so much already, Martha Griffin Walsh
